Construction of a Portable Skidder Bridge

The bridges are constructed of green hemlock, and reinforced with ¾” threaded steel rod and 10” log cabin screws. Each bridge is made up to three panels measuring 20’ long and 4’ wide.

Portable Skidder Bridges can be rented from many Conservation Districts across Vermont, including the Winooski Conservation District for a monthly fee of $100 (with a $100 deposit). Click here for more information on renting a bridge.
