Black Chokeberry is a native shrub that blooms in late May with fruit that can be used in baking and to make jams. Small clusters of white flowers in spring are followed by glossy black fruit. The dark green foliage turns reddish-purple in the fall. This plant has very high value for pollinators, including native bees, honey bees, beetles, wasps, flies and butterflies.
