The Butternut Tree is one of the hardiest nut trees. Known for its sweet, buttery flavored nuts, light golden wood, and shade-providing, rounded crown. This tree typically grows to 40-60 ft in height and width, taking up to 75 years to reach maturity. In late spring, the tree produces yellowish-green flowers which turn into nuts in the fall.
