White Oak – Quercus alba

White Oak (Quercus alba) is a regal and very long-lived tree. It is extremely valuable for all kinds of wildlife. 50-100 ft tall and wide with a wide spreading form at maturity. It is a majestic tree for large areas. Long lived, hardy, self-fertile. Oaks are a TREMENDOUS resource for all sorts of wildlife, insects, birds, and mammals. Oaks are adaptable and long lived but will perform best in reasonably well drained soil. Many oaks thrive in Central Vermont. Bare root size: 1′-1.5′ Mature Plant Height: 50-75 feet
